Alice Parke

RMT

Alice is a ski, cycling and yoga enthusiast. She has volunteered for over 5 years as a race coach for the Blue Mountain Special Olympics ski race team and is a level 2 ski instructor.

Alice has been practicing as an RMT since 2004 and has over 17 years of additional certified holistic practices such as Reflexology, Breath Work Coaching, Champissage, Yoga Therapist and Cupping.

Throughout her life, Alice has been involved in sports and has experienced numerous injuries as a result. Massage therapy has consistently played a crucial role in her recovery process. Fast forward to 21 years in this field (18 years as a Registered Massage Therapist and 21 years as a holistic therapist), she remains as active as ever, albeit with a body that is aging. Self-care has become essential for her.

She finds that she can empathize with her clients not only in terms of sports-related injuries (as she has encountered most of them herself) but also during various other life stages, such as dealing with physical challenges in motherhood, the strains of prolonged computer use (having a background in IT), and the everyday stresses of life.

Alice attributes her success as a Registered Massage Therapist to her ability to connect with clients, maintain a positive energy, and bring a sense of humor, even after all these years.

Top priority for me is meeting client's specific goals- I always ask my client's each and every time no matter how many years I have been treating them; which also ensures the best treatment plan and what modalities I will use. I also prioritize home care techniques through body awareness techniques and remedial exercise.
